The Call into the Gulch
I awoke from my slumber by the sound of horses pulling a carriage towards my house. I got up, and looked outside, and as I arrived the carriage was beginning to halt at my door step. I tossed on the rest of my gear, grabbed my staff and headed towards the door. As soon as I reached the lower level of my house, there was a knock on the door. As I approached the door, I started to replay a few magical words that might be needed incase my “guest” would cause me harm. As I opened the door, Erzsebet was at the door.
“Erzsebet, it sure is a pleasure to see you.” I said to the undead as she walked into my kitchen. “Is there something wrong?” “Indeed.” she said, with a slight hint of fear in her words. “I have just recieved word from Executioner Sylus and Magnus Fikkle that the Alliance are making a push in Warsong Gulch.” “They have been sending in new troops daily for nearly a week and a half now, and we still have troops in the Gulch who are tired and weary.” “They both wish that those of us in the Day of Reckoning, who are able, to register for the battle to take back the Gulch.” It took me a minute to put all this information together. “Why would they be adding troops into Warsong Gulch when Arathi Basin could give them more resources?” “It just doesn’t make sense.” I thought to myself. My thoughts were interupted when I heard, “Will you be registering?” Erzsebet asked. “Hmm…oh yes I will register as soon as I can.” I said, “will you be joining as well?” “No, I wish though, but my warrior patrons have assigned me to get a lot of materials so that they can start working on what they call The Master Axe” Erzsebet said with a big smile on her face. After that, we got up, went outside, and departed. I was to go to Orgrimmar and sign up with the rest of those from Day of Reckoning who would be joining in the fight, while Erzsebet would be going to Arathi Highlands, hunting Fire Elementals.
As I entered the registration quarter, I noticed many from Day of Reckoning, such as: Sylus, Fikkle, Brinya, Dishman, and Alysona. Once all of those who were comming were there, we teamed up and registered. It took a little bit of time, but after that, all of us were on our way into Warsong Gulch. Once inside the Flag Room, we saw many others who wished to help defend the honor of the Horde as well. “Dishman, what is your plan of attack?” Sylus asked as he turned towards us. Dishman, like myself, was and still is a great Battle Strategist, but he has my experience in some parts of the field of battle than I, which is why they asked for his choice. “Sylus and myself will go and assult Silverwing Hold, while Garthras and Fikkle go midfield and pick off any who try to break our Flag Room, if any get past them, I want Alysona on defense to kill those who grab our flag.” He said as he began giving food to his bat. “Very well thought.” Sylus said.
Once the gates lifted, we all moved into our positions. Fikkle and I stayed near the middle of the battle field as we watched Sylus and Dishman run off into the direction of Silverwing Hold. Moments later, we were assulted by many Alliance. Fikkle began to cast his fire spells at those who got within range, while I was running around, putting curses and draining the life out of those who got to close, or were distracted by others of the Horde. We put up a valiant fight but in the end, we lost our lives. As our spirits arose from our body, the Spirit Healer grabbed hold of them, and ressurected us back to the way we were. Our battle plan was repeated for a few more times until I noticed that we had captured their flag twice, one more until victory (as was the rules of the Gulch). I decided that Alysona, could be in use of some help, so Kiimyin, my felhunter, and myself came to her aid. Just in time too, for Alysona was already under attack by a Night Elf rogue. Kiimyin charged in, bitting the rogue, tainting the young rogue’s blood with vile poison. I began laying down curses on the elf, to dwindle her life and her powers. My spells did their job well, for when the elf was about ready to fall, Alysona came up from behind the rogue and stabbed her in the back. As the elf fell over, we saw Sylus approach with the Silverwing colors and captured the flag for a third time.
Once we all started to leave, I looked upon the battle field. There was much blood spilled over the land and many dead bodies lay on the floor. “May all those Alliance know now the true power of the Day of Reckoning, for those who cross in our path, wont be standing for much longer.” I said as I looked upon the battle field once more, and left with the others.
